The more I use the Chinon CE-4s, the more I love it. Each photo taken seems more valuable, you get so much satisfation on each shutter click. Shots taken on a DSLR are dispensable as you shoot so many, which makes each photo opportunity on film so crutial. I’m positively hooked.

Welsh WRC @ The Bay Continued

November 14, 2010

Spent this evening back down in Cardiff Bay to watch Stage 16 of the Rally, a short 1.7km run down in the Cardiff barrage. This time round the weather was greatly improved with no wind but still some rain. Me and a friend made sure we had our proper full rally attire on, which includes multiple jumpers and jackets. Here is what I managed to take, despite my camera being terrible in low light conditions, hope they give you an idea of what the stage was like:

There were a couple of old gems on display, you know what they look like so here are some engine bay shots:

And finish off with an RS200. I shot quite a lot with the 35mm Chinon so expect photos in the future.

Straight after the Dirt 3 event in town I headed down to Cardiff Bay for the start of the Welsh WRC. Let me just say that I could have happily thrown all these photos in the trash. It was freezing, raining and the wind, oh my God, the WIND. It felt like a hurricane. You can’t see the wind in photos. For most of the evening I spent my time generating body heat and mastering the art of wind wrestling, so the photos you see here are the brief moments when the wind was slow enough for me to take the camera out.

Apart from all that it was nice to see all the WRC cars and drivers again.

We went driver hunting and found Loeb strolling through, I flinched in shock and snapped this. I shoud be a paparazzi.

Some sights.
